Lucrezia Grande is world champion: a source of pride for MJ Academy and Coral Group

29 Maggio 2025

A historic triumph for Italian sport and a source of immense pride for Coral Group. The young athlete Lucrezia Grande, paired with Stefano Spiller, won the gold medal at the World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Edmonton, Canada, defeating Denmark with a clear 8-2 victory in the final.

This victory is not only the crowning achievement of a sporting career marked by great commitment, but also confirmation of the educational and competitive excellence of MJ Academy, the leading club for Italian youth curling, proudly sponsored by Coral Group.

A champion who grew up in a breeding ground of talent and values

Lucrezia, already a multiple Italian champion in the junior and senior categories, is now one of the most promising faces of Italian sport. Her global success is the result of constant growth, supported by a technical environment of the highest level and a vision that MJ Academy fully shares with Coral Group: to nurture young talent through commitment, discipline, teamwork and passion.

The link between Coral Group and MJ Academy stems precisely from this common goal: to support sport as a vehicle for training, responsibility and ambition, elements that also guide our business activities every day.

A look to the future: Milan-Cortina 2026

Lucrezia Grande has been included in the group of “Probable Olympians” for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games, and her recent world victory has propelled her into the ranks of Italy's most promising international athletes. Coral Group is proud to accompany, even if only in part, the journey of an athlete who embodies the values we deeply believe in: determination, excellence, humility and vision for the future.

Thank you Lucrezia, thank you MJ Academy

On behalf of the entire Coral Group, we would like to express our warmest congratulations to Lucrezia Grande, Stefano Spiller and all the technical and management staff at MJ Academy for this extraordinary achievement. Your victory is also our victory. We will continue to enthusiastically and wholeheartedly support quality sport, which shapes people before it shapes athletes.
